My mild acne used to irritate me a lot, but after trying every hormonal cream, spot treatment, dietary change and miracle cure advertised on infomercials I decided to accept the facial hissy fit and let the gorilla sit in the room unmentioned.But adult acne, it seems, is not a taboo topic even during a first-time meet and greet or mid-conversation with friends. Apparently when the gorilla is not only in the room, but also sitting on your face, people find it harder to ignore.
As i was enjoying the crossword at my local cafe recently, a stranger in an adjoining seat gave me a warm sympathetic smile and said, "You need to drink more water, you know, for your face." He then swirled a pointed finger gesturing around the outline of my face. My inner monologue screamed, "And you need to mind your own business more, you know, to save me having to punch you in the face," but the outer replied, "I already drink a lot of water, thank you," and I buried my shamed face back into the paper. ) Sweet nothing
After a cystic acne breakout a few years ago, my left cheek had developed a few deep scars. I decided recently to have a series of Fraxel treatments as I heard they are the most effective way of reducing the appearance of scars.After my first treatment just one week ago, I have noticed a HUGE difference. My deep scars have just about levelled off and my skin looks smoother. I'm due for another 3 treatments in 4 weeks with a month between each one and can't wait to see the results.
